I’m on a MacBook Air, Sequioa. Somehow the recording settings have messed up so I get relentless feedback loops when trying to record. I’ve tried to find help on google and it’s completely useless, pointing to tools resets???. Can someone please tell me how to reset my setting to factory default. PS there is no ‘audacity’ folder in my user/library/application support/ folder (I’ve enabled view hidden folders) so I can’t find and delete the file containing all the settings info. HELP. PPS why can’t we simply have a ‘reset to factory defaults’ button in the preferences menu, like everyone else?
Uncheck “audible input monitoring” …

Thanks. Not sure why that was suddenly turned on, this wasn’t a problem 3 days ago? That’s sorted it though, appreciate it.
