hello, I upgraded to 3.6.2 but there were several gaffes so I deleted it. I then tried several older versions but in downloading any of them, I got the message: “the requested operation requires elevation.” I tried to download 3.6.2 again too and I got that same message. Same thing when I re-downloaded the old version I was using for years. So now I don’t have Audacity. Had been using it for years. Anyone know what’s up. Thanks, Geno
Where did you get version 3.6.2? The latest version available at Audacity ® | Downloads is 3.6.1.
The message that it “requires elevation” probably means you need to be an administrator to install Audacity. That’s a common thing with computers since they don’t want to allow just anyone to install software (for security reasons–imagine if any guest or child account could modify your software installations).
