It would be very helpful if, after adding a new track, we are able to rename it right away instead of having to right click and rename. So, maybe when the track is added, the name section is editable and we can just rename it if we choose. thanks!
The downside is that you would need to close the rename dialog every time, whether you want to change the name or not - one person’s gain is another person’s pain.
It does not have to be a pop up. The field itself on the track could be editable once a new track is created. Like when you create a new folder in explorer, you don’t have to right click to rename it. The name field is ready for input. If you don’t want to name it, just hit escape.
but you have still shifted focus from the track to the track name. So, for example, if you create a new track by recording into an empty project, then “Ctrl + A” to select all won’t work because it will select all of the name, not all of the recording.
I’m not talking about when you are recording into an empty project. I’m talking about when you literally right click to add a new track or add new track from the menu bar.
I really love how every time I post anything, some guy comes on to mansplain why I don’t need it or it doesn’t make sense to them. I’m just putting my feedback and suggestions out there for the developers.
I’m not saying that it wouldn’t be useful to you. I’m explaining that developers need to consider consistent behaviour of the app for everyone.
