removing small blank spot when appending audio to project

When I cut & paste audio to append it to the end of a project, I sometimes wind up with a little blank spot in between the old and the newly added sections.

Can’t really hear it go by when playing it, but it looks funny and I can’t seem to remove it.

Any secret to this? Thanks…Lyle

Easiest way is to keep the sections in different tracks - just use the “Time Shift” tool (double headed arrow button <–>) to slide the sections into the right positions, When the edges of two audio clips line up exactly they will “snap” together and show a yellow vertical line. When you export to create a normal audio file the tracks will be “mixed” to produce a single mono/stereo file.

Alternatively, you can use the “K” key to move the cursor to exactly the end of a track before pasting.
