Removing increasing whine in a recording

Hi All, I did a video of a 4 man singing group using recorded music with my Sony Handicam.

In one of the songs there was a whine that increased in intensity then dropped off and disappeared. You can see this in shaded box area of the attached screen shot. Notice in the light blue bit in the shaded area that its borders start increasing until the sudden drop off.

I was wondering if there was anyway to make these borders horizontal or some way to reduce the whine?

We would need to hear it or have a sample. Drag-select ten seconds around that drop-off, File > Export > Export Selected: WAV (Microsoft) 16-bit and post it. Scroll down from a forum text window > Attachments > Add Files.

Did you all turn off your phones while you were performing?
