removing a track split, placed in error

running Audacity 2.1.1 on Windows 7

After splitting a track for labeling, is there a way to remove that track split without deleting the track?
I have sometimes put the split in the wrong place and don’t like starting all over again with the original wave file

Any help with this?

Have you tried Edit > Undo?

How are you making the split? If with CTRL + I, click the black split line to merge (remove) it.

If the label is in the wrong place, remove the label by right-clicking in it then “Delete Label”, or hover over the circle widget on the label and drag.
