Hello all, I’m afraid I need some help.
I am using a GoPro Hero 8 to record video and voice in a moving vehicle. I’d like to edit out the voice (male and female), just leaving the low droning sound from the vehicle and road. Removing the audio would of course fix the problem but I’d be left with total silence which would not satisfy.
I am editing in Filmora9, exporting audio in MP3 format to Audacity 2.4.1 and trying to use the Vocal Reduction and Isolation feature.
I’ve read tutorials, watched explainer videos and tried different software but am failing and I’m a non-professional user. This is just for fun, really.
Any guidance appreciated. Thank you.

Starting there, see if it’s possible to save the work in anything but MP3. WAV? MP3 gets its convenient, small files by creating intentional, hard to find distortion. So it’s not a good format to use in the middle of production.

Audacity can’t split apart a mixed show into individual voices, instruments or sounds.
However, there is a Hollywood trick. Go out and shoot it again without the voices. Same car, same recorder, same speed. Edit in the new sound where needed.
Most good production is bookkeeping. Next time you do this, figure out ahead of time what you’re going to need and shoot everything on the same day.

Koz that’s really helpful guidance, thank you. I can now imagine exactly how I can do this. Simple but effective. Appreciated. Jon
