Remove other sound and extract speech?

Hello. I’m a newbie and it’s my first time using Audacity. I recorded an audio file from a videogame, I’m trying to make a youtube video you see. I recorded it line-in from the TV and I think it’s stereo.

I used other sound editors but I read Audacity is the best one to separate sound. Is it possible and if it is how easy/hard it is?

separate what sound from what ?
maybe
depends - separate what sound from what ?

we need a lot more info on what you are doing
and what you are using to do it

“Remove other sound and extract speech?” (see the title of the post).

There is no simple way to do this. See this post: https://forum.audacityteam.org/t/splitting-vocal-tracks-from-instrumental-tracks/13285/2

Thank you for giveing me the link stevethefiddle. But will it be harder to extract speech because other than background music there are several noises as well?

speech is a sound
but what is the other sound
makes a big difference in whether this can be done easily or at all

Nobody can actually separate individual instruments or voices from a mixed performance. Under some very tightly restricted circumstances with a perfect quality (uncompressed – non-MP3) stereo show, you might be able to do some vocal or instrument isolation with one of these tools.
