Dear forum,
I’d like to remove stepping, running, woosh, wish, bam etc sounds from a short backfround music track I have. Any way you could guide me through this as I am entirely new to Audacity?

I’m guessing that you want to remove the cartoon sound effects while retaining other sounds that are playing at the same time. If that’s the case, then it’s probably impossible.
As a fuzzy rule, Audacity can’t separate a mixed performance into individual voices, instruments, or sounds.
Audacity does have Effect > Vocal Reduction and Isolation, but even that fails most of the time.
You can search for someone posting the music “clean” and not mixed with effects.
