Registry Error

Hello there! I am trying to run Audacity on a 2011 MacBook Pro running Lion. Whenever I open Audacity, I get this error message.

Registry error

Please ensure this product has been installed properly.

When I hit OK, the program crashed and I’ve attached the crash report below. I’ve uninstalled using AppCleaner, and created a new audacity.cfg file but it still doesn’t seem to work. Can anybody shed some light on this situation? Thanks!!

Registry Errors happen on Windows machines. Are you sure you got the right Audacity? Are you trying to load Windows Audacity under Boot Camp?

The crash report shows that Audacity is crashing while attempting to load Waves plugins. This is a known issue.
