Hi, I’m new to audacity and I’m trying to edit a 3+ hour long file. There’s a recurring sound that’s like half a second long. It sounds like something bouncing off a window. It recurs all through out my recording. Is there any way to isolate the sound and then delete all of them?

Let’s go with no.There are tools to get rid of background hum or gentle constant noises, but not noises that come and go. A recent poster had to get rid of refrigerator noises. That worked OK.
Can you tell if the noise is exactly the same each time? Listen to several one after the other.
What’s the show? If you surgically removed each one by hand, is anybody going to notice? Do they occur over somebody’s voice or some valuable part of the show? Do they only occur during voices or music?

How frequently?
Please locate one of those sounds and export a 6 second audio clip in WAV format containing that sound. Upload the 6 second clip with your reply (see: https://forum.audacityteam.org/t/how-to-post-an-audio-sample/29851/1)
