I Have Windows 7 I Use audacity 1.2.6, When I Use the Mic for record it crashes “audacity has stopped working”
even if i record for 5 seconds, Is there any Plugins missing?

If you read the Release Notes for 1.2 you will see it’s a known issue for Windows Vista and 7. To be rid of the problem, please upgrade to 1.3.13 Beta .
