Recording only comes out one side on the left side

What are you recording from? (The mic built-into your laptop) A USB turntable? Streaming audio? etc?)

Hi I’m recording from a Scarlett solo I switched from stereo to mono and it fixed the problem

I believe the microphone input on the back is left and the line/instrument input on the front is right.

A true-mono file will play out of both speakers.

Usually, the signals are cut in half (-6dB) when recording in mono so that when both inputs are combined the level doesn’t exceed 0dB. Trust the indicators on the interface (avoid red) and you can optionally run the Amplify effect after recording.
