Recording on Selected Tracks/Unable to Transfer Clips To New Ones

Hello!

I’m running into strange issues and am unsure how to go about them.

First, when I try to ‘create mono track’ and record on it, it will just create a new one even if the desired mono track is selected. I’m trying to figure out how to record on the specific track.

Then if I try to clip something/move it to a new track I get the message ‘the content you are trying to paste will span across more tracks than you currently have available’ even though its a short clip and only one recording.

Any feedback or tips would be super helpful.

1. Uncheck “Record on a new track” in Edit → Preferences → Recording.
2. Moving clip and new track must have the same parameters (number of channels, sample rate, etc.)
