Recording mic and headphone sound output at once

Hello All,

I have always been able to record both my mic and incoming sound be it youtube, a discord convo etc.

recently I had to reinstall windows and now I cant seem to get this to work it always records one or the other.

Please help as iam a complete noob to this stuff and cant figure it out despite a few hours googling

Enable “listen to this device” to hear the mic in the headphones …

Alternatively, for optimum results, use a virtual mixer … VB-Audio VoiceMeeter Banana
