Hi, I want to play a cdg track with the Karaoke option in VLC player,and sing to it keeping the track and vocals seperate in Audacity to add effects.Is there any way that Audacity will record from VLC.Or is there a plug-in for Karaoke tracks in Audacity.
You can totally record from VLC Player or Internet audio, YouTube, etc, and you can also record your own voice. You just can’t do them all at once. Audacity only accepts one audio device and generally one direction for recording. More complicated than that and you need a sound mixer or overdubbing where you put down one track and then play that back with the addition of a second.
