Do you have “Overdub” checked in the Transport menu? If not, how did you manage to record the click track onto a second track? What are you settings in the Windows Sound control panel?

The second track has bad DC offset as well as being inverted relative to the first track.

That shouldn’t happen in the digital domain, but it can happen with analog audio. Microphones, speakers, and amplifiers can sometimes invert the signal, depending on their design.

Since audio is AC, this usually doesn’t affect the sound and isn’t a problem. It’s usually only a problem if you invert one stereo-channel and not the other, or if you are mixing the signal from two microphones and they are out-of-phase.

Yes,“Overdub” checked in.
I use a stereo loop-back cable
Plug the cable from the Realtek HD Audio Output of my computer to the Realtek HD Audio Input(Mic in) of my computer.
The second track is recording the first track.

I want to do a latency test for my PC.

You can see the Screenshot.
The upside-down waveform only happened on the PC with LINUX(ubuntu)
It is OK on PC with XP.

Somewhere in the signal chain the signal is being inverted . This is not uncommon and is not anything to worry about. My G5 was non-inverting using a loopback cable, my new iMac inverts.
