I am using Windows 7 64bit with Audacity 2.1.1 downloaded with .exe installer today. I have a Jensen JTA-230 USB turntable that I wish to use to create and save digital music files from 33 rpm long play records. I have connected the turntable to my computer and played recordings to my satisfaction on the turntable with its speakers. I tried the sound recording feature on my computer and did record identifiable sound but the music was faint and at the same level as noise. I have tried the instruction manuals online and that came with the turntable but I haven’t been able to figure out how to set up and use Audicity the way it is shown in the manuals. The FAQs haven’t seemed to address this issue. I will appreciate your help. Thanks.
