To start off, I use Windows 10. Now for the problem, apparently whenever I record, the recording doesn’t seem to record the desktop audio perfectly. Before you ask, yes I have:
Windows WASAPI as Host
Using: PortAudio V19.6.0-devel, revision unknown
Speakers (Realtek(R) Audio) as Playback Device
Speakers (Realtek(R) Audio) (loopback) as Recording Device
2 (Stereo) as Recording Channels
Now those options seem like the typical solution and how to record only your desktop audio, but for me, for some reason even after enabling those options, the audio doesn’t seem to record the desktop audio perfectly. Want proof? See the difference between the waves of the recorded desktop audio and the downloaded audio in the attachments below. Also yes, I’m using the song Monkeys Spinning Monkeys by Kevin Macleod as an example of this audio problem occurring to me.
It’s a few seconds sample of Monkeys Spinning Monkeys that I exported with “Export Selected Audio”. Pretty much, I downloaded the song from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uXn-zOt68V8 here to show how my recorded audio has the wrong waves, while the real audio that I downloaded has the right waves.
But still, do you know a fix to this problem where the recorder doesn’t record the desktop audio perfectly?
