Recording audio from a website or streaming with the sound muted cuts off the recording.

I can only record from the internet with the speakers on. when I mute the speakers or use headphones it blanks the recording.

You have a computer? Does it have an operating system? If so, what version?
Audacity version?
What settings did you make?

I’m, using a new Acer laptop with windows 10, I believe. The settings for Audacity are the same as my PC at home where it works fine. I’ve tried changing the settings under Audio setting and a few under the transport settings and still have the same problem. I can record directly to the laptop with an external source but still can’t monitor the recording.

I’m sorry its windows 11 and audacity 3.7.1. Settings are Host Windows WASABI, recording device speakers (Realtek(R) Audio) (Loopback)
