record Skype with headphones [SOLVED]

Hello, I would like record the sound from my pc with headphones plugged in, and if is possible register also my voice from the computer’s microphone.
I tried to set “Microsoft Sound Mapper - Output” as output device but doesn’t work.
Do you have any ideas ?

Thanks

Please see the pink box above and provide the required information.

About your setup:
Also, what sort of headphones? Are they USB headphones or do they plug into your sound card?
Is your computer a laptop computer?
Are you using the built-in sound card or an external (USB) sound card?
Are you wanting to record with the built in microphone in a laptop PC?

About what you want to do:
Are you wanting to hear a “backing track” of some sort while you record, or are you wanting to hear something else?
Are you aware that the sound quality of the built-in microphone of a laptop PC is typically very poor (approximately “telephone quality”)?

Hi Steve,
the version is 2.1.0
the headphones are simply sony in ear and are plugged to the sound card.
my computer is laptop.
I’m using the built-in sound card and the built in microphone.

That was the phrase that pays.

Audacity doesn’t do well with Skype. You can record both sides of a Skype call with software designed to do that.

The Pamela series of programs can do that and there are others for Windows users. Looking.
