How do I get Reaplugs to Work in Audacity? Audacity will not locate the folder C:\Program Files\VSTPlugins\ReaPlugs . I have tried Audacity 2.3.3 and 2.4.1. I found a YouTube link and the guy got his to work apparently do not now what Audacity version though ??? Here is the Link: https://youtu.be/foeUaRw8SmY
What do I need to do to make Audacity find C:\Program Files\VSTPlugins\ReaPlugs to utilize these plugins?
Audacity on Windows is 32-bit, and does not support 64-bit plug-ins. Ensure that you are not trying to use the 64-bit versions as they won’t work with Audacity.
Thank you for your timely response … I have removed the 64 bit and replaced them with the 32 bit ReaPlugs and installed them to C:\Program Files (x86)\VSTPlugins\ReaPlugs and still Audacity will not locate the folder to recognize the plugins. Will I need install them to a different folder or edit the registry and PATH environment?
@steve are you saying that the 64 bit version of Audacity shouldn’t be used? Or did it not exist at the time you made your comment? I’m new to Audacity, should I uninstall the 64 bit version and install the 32 bit version instead? (I’m using 64 bit for both Audacity and ReaPlugs and they don’t work).
I was saying that 3 years ago, because Audacity on Windows was only available as a 32-bit App. Now, three years later, the default version of Audacity for Windows is a 64-bit app, so VST plug-ins for Audacity should be 64-bit versions.
