A feature that can be turned off/on that allows you to quickly overwrite an imported file, preserving its name and the path from which the file was imported, is very much needed. Such a feature would help to integrate Audacity with other DAWs. For example, I am editing an audio program in Vegas, I may not like some file imported into the project, I double-click to start editing this file in Audacity, edit it and resave it without looking for the path from which this file was imported.
