My problem is with some macro functions, I try to add 5 seconds of silence at the end and at the beginning of a series of audios. But in all my attempts the silence extends to the whole track. Now modify the parameters of the macro to mute audio and the alternatives to move the cursor to the beginning and end of the track, but the result is the same, the entire track is silenced. The “Silence” command silences the selected audio, so you first need to add some audio, and then when it is selected, you can silence it.

For example, to add 5 seconds of silence at the start:

  1. Select the first 5 seconds of the track
  2. Copy it
  3. Move the cursor to the start of the track
  4. Paste
  5. Silence
