I use Audacity for meetings and I am not able to record the voices of other participants other than myself when I am listening with earphones plugged into my laptop. I have tried a number of configurations and if I move the Host>Playback>Recording settings to MME/WDS > Headphones Real Audio > Microsoft Sound Mapper I can get an extremely faint streaming media sound, but I don’t think this is the way the Audacity developers intended the program to poorly function. What settings do you all use for such a scenario??
Yes. This is correct. Audacity can only record from one device at a time - e.g., headphones OR microphone. To record both sides of a Zoom, meeting, check with Zoom. Many of these services will record both sides of the conversation for you. Alternatively, you can simply add another computer to the mix that will just record everything.
