Problem with lame.enc.dll ( Audacity 2.1.0)

New PC, Windows 11, ver. 24H2 and Audacity ver. 2.1.0 (newer versions of Audacity not compatible with my older project files).

Problem: Downloaded lame_3.99.5.tar and extracted files.
Unable to locate needed file: lame.enc.dll
Cannot export files in MP3…
Solution?

Audacity 2.3.2 comes with LAME built in.

Make sure you’re using the 32-bit version of LAME with 32-bit Audacity or 64-bit LAME with 64-bit Audacity.

Or export as WAV and convert to MP3 with a newer version, or with a 3rd-party converter like Kabuu Audio Converter.

ver. 2.3.2 seems to be good for me.
I am able to load my older project files and export finished projects in MP3.

However, I also downloaded the ver. 2.3.2 ‘manual’ but I have been unable to access it.
Any suggestions?

Audacity 2.3.2 was released in 2019.
