I’ve been back using Audacity 3.6.3 for many months (mostly since I’ve found compression changes in more current versions were very inefficient). I am consistently experiencing crashes when after saving a session, I go to Close Or Exit. When I go to send a crash report (typically for exception code 0cx0000005) I consistently get a pop-up saying “Failed to send crash report”.
My workaround is to save the session (version 2.1 for example), then for a few seconds on just one channel, I adjust the volume .01 or fade out for two seconds or so. Then I will save that version as 2.2. Version 2.1 will stay intact and now version 2.2 will cause a crash report. The other odd thing is that the file size for version 2.1 will be 1,708.765 KB but version 2.2 after crashing (with just a very minor modification) will be 9,272,712 KB.
Is there something wrong with my settings that are inhibiting a crash report to send without errors?
