In Audacity 6.2.2 version 64 bit, it was only possible to set it so that the information about the incompatibility of plugins does not pop up, but when you want to enable plugins in the plugin manager
avcodec-55.dll
avformat-55.dll
avutil-52.dll
libbz2-1.dll
libiconv-2.dll
libwinpthread-1.dll
zlib1.dll
it says they are incompatible and have been disabled.
I downloaded the Audacity 6.2.2 program from the official website https://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows in the zip portable 64-bit version and the FFmpeg v2.2.2 COMPRESSED PACKAGE (.ZIP) plugin from the website https://lame.buanzo. org/ffmpeg64audacity.php and extracted this zip file into the plugins folder and indicated in the Audacity plugin manager these files and plugins are incompatible.
Release some compatible plugins or integrate them with Audacity. How hard is it to do something so simple.
If you do this, users will switch to other programs and stop donating money you, and Audacity will lose popularity and you will hurt yourself that way. Take that into account.
The current version of Audacity is 3.2.2. It’s available here: Audacity ® | Downloads
No, I don’t think that you did.
I’m having the exact same issue I’ve spent the last hour trying to install just one plugin and the only one I got working was the one that had an installation program.
The plugin is called “multiply” https://acondigital.com/products/multiply/. I’d like to clarify I’m extremely new to Audacity.
I followed this YouTube tutorial to a T where he got it working while I did not. this is all on Windows 10 even did this after reinstalling 3.2.2 again. This is the tutorial https://youtu.be/ut6bgiyylK4 and this is the link to the plugin he used in the video http://www.sinusweb.de/download.html.
Every time I add any plugin aside from multiply I get the same error message which I’ve typed below.
Effect or command at C:\Program Files\Audacity\plug-ins\FreeverbToo.dll failed to register:
Could not load the library
Could not load the library
Not sure if it has anything to do with it but it lists “Could not load the library” twice when the other times I searched for this issue the people seemed to only have it popup once? Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks for the help in advance
avcodec-55.dll
avformat-55.dll
avutil-52.dll
libbz2-1.dll
libiconv-2.dll
libwinpthread-1.dll
zlib1.dll
Those are part of the FFmpeg Import/Export Library. FFmpeg should be linked to Audacity automatically. They don’’ show-up as “plug-ins”.
If you download and run Fmpeg_v2.2.2_for_Audacity_on_Windows_64bit.exe it should be installed in c:\Program Files\FFmpeg for Audacity and it should show up under Libraries.
The plugin is called “multiply” > Multiply – Free chorus effect plug-in> .
Not all 3rd-party plug-ins are compatible with Audacity. And it’s technically up to the plug-in developer to support the host.
Most commercial plug-in developers have a list of officially supported hosts and unfortunately most non-free plug-ins don’t (officially) support Audacity. Sometimes they will work but if they don’t you can’t complain… Most commercial plug-ins also have a free trial so you can try before you buy. With free plug-ins it’s usually just hit-or-miss because the developer usually doesn’t have the resources to test & debug with a wide variety of hosts.
…Make sure to use 64-bit plug-ins with 64-bit Audacity and 32-bit plug-ins with 32-bit Audacity.
Do you also think that you are using Audacity 6.2.2? There is no legitimate “6.2.2” version of Audacity.
Acon’s Multiply is available as 32 & 64 bit versions.
It sounds like you’re trying to run the 32-bit version in 64-bit Audacity, which is not permitted.
The 64-bit VST3 version of Multiply does work in Audacity 3.2.0, (64-bit),
but the GUI window is too small & cannot be resized
[ I have a 32-bit version of Multiply on a 32-bit version of Audacity: full GUI window shown].
I made a mistake instead of 6.2.2 I wanted to write 3.2.2. I’ve also had other problems with Adobe and other developers programs and I got the numbers mixed up.
The latest version of Audacity that has the ability to partially load songs is 3.1.3. Where can I safely download this version 3.1.3? Are there any viruses on https://www.fosshub.com/Audacity-old.html?
Ah, OK, that makes sense.
I also made a mistake in the reply to your other post, which I’ve corrected here: How to shorten mp3 loading in Audacity? - #3 by steve
FossHub was the official host for Audacity for several years. They are totally reputable, but it’s always good to be cautious when downloading, so I always test downloads here: VirusTotal
Where can I download VTS plugins for Audacity 3.1.3?
In portable version of Audacity is text file
Audacity 3.1.3 Portable\App\VSTPlugins\vstplugins_readme.txt
content text file
Place your VST plugins here and Audacity Portable will use them.
There’s some suggestions here: https://plugins.audacityteam.org/
