Which version of macOS and Audacity are you using?

I suspect the problem is that you’re using a 64-bit version of macOS, but as far as I’m aware there are only 32-bit versions of the LADSPA plug-ins available. Recent versions of macOS do not support 32-bit apps (or 32-bit plug-ins).
