I use Audacity in teaching an intro physics lab course that is geared towards non-scientists. A lot of students use Audacity for music projects so using for lab makes a lot of sense. We use the plot spectrum (fft) tool a lot in this course. I’m really missing this tool and am needing to direct students to the web-based version of Audacity that someone else maintains. Are there plans to add back the FFT? If no plans, would you consider it at some point? Students are often reluctant to install older versions of software and I’d rather use your work directly.
