We will have some options that keep some things similar, however, we won’t be sticking to the old UI 1:1.

No, because we’re using an entirely new UI system. If you want to continue using Audacity 3.x, use Audacity 3.x.

Personally, I’m excited about the new UI. I’m hoping to keeps the best of what we have now with some great new options, similar to what other DAWs have.
