Please bring back the use of decimal values when changing the pitch of a track

Firstly I want to thank and congratulate the Audacity team with the new release. I am confident that in time after working out all of the kinks, it has the potential to become the greatest-ever-completely-free audio editing and recording app.

I am not trying to be nit-picky in any way at all, and if I didn’t love Audacity as much I do, I certainly wouldn’t bother with making an account just to make a request

Simply put— in A3 (Audacity 3), when using the Change Pitch effect you can adjust pitch with semitones down to the decimal point (ex. 1.50 semitones vs 1 or 2)

I personally use this a lot and it would be awesome if it could be brought back. That’s all.

Cheers

The Pitch and speed dialog allows one to change the pitch in semitones and cents. 50 cents = 0.5 semitone.
