Playthrough to TASCAM DR-05x

So I want to use my dr-05x recorder as an audio interface. I can record but I can’t get the existing tracks to play through at the same time.

I’ve selected overdub and software playthrough from preferences, recording options.

I’ve chosen TASCAM DR series as both mic and speaker.

Any help would be appreciated. Would really like to be able to use this setup.

What did you set the “Monitor” option to in the dr-05x menu when you connected it to your computer?
If you just play a track in Audacity (without recording), are you able to hear Audacity via the dr-05x?
