I exported the mp3 track recorded from an LP and burned it to a cd. My CD player plays the track but I am not able to use the CD player’s functions to skip songs. Is there an editing tool to insert a trigger for individual songs into the track before burning?
There are many possibilities to burn a CD in a wrong way…
Export all songs as WAV or AIFF or MP3
Use iTunes for Windows or Music.app for Mac (both free)
Create a Playlist and move the tracks to the playlist
re-arrange the individual songs within the playlist
select “burn playlist to CD” from the file menu
select "Audio CD in the next dialog. If necessary make additional adjustments
click the button “Burn”
This should result in a CD which corresponds to the standards defined for an Audio CD.
