Playing a Recording Backwards

I have a reel to reel tape I transferred to digital. I didn’t realize there was a track on the “back side” until the tape was destroyed thus the I have the “forward” in the left channel and the flip side is in the right. Can I reverse the right channel and then make both their own forward recording?

I’m new to Audacity.

Effect → Special → Reverse

Split stereo to 2 mono, then select the backwards track, then reverse it.

Since you have said that the tape is broken, I would add to make a copy of the original capture BEFORE doing anything since you can’t do it again if it goes wrong.
