? how to have in the playback mode , the playback line fix in the middle and the background running ? i had this feature , up dated and cannot find the way to have it anymore !

I’m guessing that you mean “Pinned play head”. Click on the green triangle so that it becomes a “thumbtack” icon. (See: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/timeline.html#pinned). Is that what you mean?
