Play-at-speed toolbar

I am back using Audacity again for work. Been years.

Downloaded 4.0.1. I cannot see the play-at-speed toolbar and it isn’t showing that’s it’s available in the view drop down.

I just figured out how to search for this topic in forum. Apparently this is new issue with 4.0.

Any update on this function?

This is in addition to any stretching or pitch shifting that is already set in their clip properties. - Recording with a non-100% playback speed will slow down the project playback, but the recorded clip will be at its nominal sample rate. It's essentially recorded at the inverse of the speed delta -- if recorded at 50%, but played back at 100%, it sounds twice as fast. - The "preserve pitch" toggle WILL control the properties set on newly recorded clips. Meaning, if "preserve pitch" was off during recording, it's off for the recorded clip.

If you need play-at-speed you might be happier with Audacity 3.7.9 for now.
