Hello all. First post here.
For the past several years I have come home after church and post-processed the church service recording with Audacity and posted it on the website. I’ve never had any real problems.
My OS has always been linux (mint) and I’ve always used Audacity though I didn’t necessarily go searching for updates.
Well, a few months ago I had to wipe my machine. I decided to go with Debian. I installed Audacity 3.2.4. It seemed to be working at first but I found that about halfway through every editing session the Pg Up/Pg Dn navigation stopped working and was instead changing the value selected in the “project rate” field (Hz).
I eventually figured out that as soon as I use anything from the effects menu (Graphic Eq, Amplify, etc.) the pg-up/pg-dn keys are moved to the project rate field. As long as I don’t do any effect editing, they stay active in the tracks and I can use them to move forward and backward a screen at a time.
Is this a new bug in 3.2.4? Should I go back to an earlier version? Is it something to do with Debian?
Thanks for your help.
