Permanently disable sound enhancements

Windows 11, Version 3.7.3 I’ve used AUDACITY for years and love it.

Every time I reboot audio enhancements are enabled. I looked online and some suggest going into the registry, changing sound drivers, as well as other things that may be beyond my ability.

I was hoping the developers here had an easy fix as you guys know this program better than anyone. I also find when switching between recording devices it sometimes resets to MONO as well.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you. Joe

I don’t know but it would have to be Windows, not Audacity. Audacity doesn’t change the Windows settings but some other applications do.

…Pros use ASIO (hardware/applications/drivers) and then the audio stream isn’t altered. BUT because they would have to play for licensing, Audacity doesn’t support ASIO unless you can compile it yourself.
