I’m on a machine running on Ubuntu 25.10 and have been using Audacity 3.75 without a hitch.
Recently I wanted to isolate and edit the guitar on a track and stumbled upon the mention online of openVINO Music Separation.
After a search I settled on some instructions (out of several I found) and executed the following command:
sudo audacity.fetch-models
This resulted in a list of five options to choose from for installation. I opted for two: Music Separation and Noise Suppression. Everything seemed to go well. If I run the command again the same list appears for installation except that the two I’ve mentioned are listed as (installed).
The thing is that the two installed options produce an error when I try to use them, while the three options I never installed are present and seem to be working fine.
