I just upgraded to 3.6.1, and I tried to activate the openvino module, but it’s not showing up in the list of available modules. I uninstalled and reinstalled, to no avail.
Why isn’t it showing up? How do I fix this?
Thanks!
As near as I can tell, OpenVino has very specific versions of the progrm for each specific version of Audacity. You gotta hit it exact.

Yeah, they really gotta fix that for working on every new version so they can focus on only new bug fix and new models versions of the AI app but you do have to get 0.1 at the moment the same time as the updates.
@kozikowski, I don’t know what you mean by “hit it exact.” I uninstalled & reinstalled the latest version of Audacity yesterday, and it wasn’t there. What do I need to do – specifically – to get it? I’m a total noob to Audacity, though geherally computer savvy.
Without getting specific numbers, there are three OpenVino installers, one for each of the last Audacity versions. If you don’t get them right, they don’t work.
This drags us back to my idea that you shouldn’t update a program until it hits at least the x. x. 2 version, and then only after you haunt the forums for user experiences.
“I installed the latest Audacity version and the resulting explosion took out the west side of my house.”
Probably not the update you want, particularly if you’re in the middle of a job.
