Opening link in Audacity

Hello,

Thank you for any help that i get here.
I was given a audio link to open in audacity and label. When i am trying to save the link, it is saving as HTML document. After importing it as RAW in audacity, no sound plays and it is over in 1 sec. When i click on the link otherwise and it opens in media player, audio plays for 5 seconds, so i know link is valid.

I have gone through FAQ’s and cant find any relevant topic.

I cant figure out what i am doing wroung. Will really appreciate any replies.

is the link.

Audacity cannot open audio files from HTML links. Try right-click > “Save Target As” or “Save Link As” over the link to save as an MP3 file (it should work right-clicking over the link in your post).

If you want to export that audio from Audacity as another MP3, you will need the optional LAME library - see http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_installation_and_plug_ins.html#lame .

Thanks Gale for your help.

Strange thing is when i was trying to save this file by right click from the email, it was not giving me any other option than HTML but i was able to save the file to mp3 from here

Jimmy

It depends on the e-mail client and whether it uses Internet Explorer as the core for its HTML support.
