I’m looking to add some vocal effects to my library for audiobook narration purposes. From what I’ve gleaned off the internet, there used to be a pretty great library of ninety or so LADSPA effects that could be added to Audacity, but I can’t find them. There are even references and links to these plugins in the Audacity manual, but clicking them leads to a download page for Audacity itself. Can anyone steer me in the right direction to find this library… or maybe direct me to a more current source of voice-effect plugins? Thanks in advance.
Those LADSPA effects are obsolete, and many of them have bugs.
Personally I use Audacity’s built in effects for almost everything and rarely need to use additional plug-ins.
There are loads of free VST effects available from KVR Audio.
Note that Audacity on Windows currently requires 32-bit plug-ins (64-bit plug-ins are not yet supported).
VST instruments are not supported.
VST3 is not yet supported.
