Audacity (3.4.2) not recording from 33 rpm LP on my audio-technica AT-LP120XUSB turntable to Windows 7 PC, direct USB cable connection. No monitoring levels or waveform seen. Turntable was recognised by PC on USB connection, drivers installed successfully.
Make sure you’ve selected the USB device as your Recording Device.
If that’s not the problem, check your Privacy Settings to make sure Audacity is allowed to use USB device.
You can also try Listen To This Device to make sure Windows is getting the audio.
Problem found.
When turntable audio-out jacks are used connecting via amplifier to speakers , with “Phono” selected at the turntable output selector, USB output is disabled. Must switch turntable output selector from “Phono” to “Line” for output via USB cable to PC .
