I’ve used Audacity for many years in a really basic configuration to record short (2 min) radio reports on finance. I use a Samson Meteor microphone and have recently purchased a new computer, again nothing special that allows me to work in the cloud and do basic computing.
After downloading Audacity and doing what I’ve always done in terms of selecting recording and playback devices, recordings sound muffled with no high frequency notes at all. My old version of Audacity on an ancient machine running Windows 7 has come to my rescue so it’s not the microphone.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
