I am currently using the latest update of Audacity 2.3.2
My Mac OS is latest update of iOS 13.
Since updating my mac to Catalina, Audacity is not recognizing the audio from my AT LP-120 USB turntable. The program will display that it is connected, but does not record or play audio coming from the turntable.
I have checked to make sure that my privacy settings on the mac allow Audacity to use the microphone but there is still no change,
Was it previously working with Mojave?
You may need to check that after the upgrade, Audacity still has permission to access the “microphone” (which means, any recording device).
Everything looks standard other than not seeing the levels of audio when it is connected and not being able to hear or record the audio. When I click record the line starts moving but there is no fluctuation in the wave or audio being recorded.
I’ve been following this thread and am having a similar issue with a cassette player. Sound picks up the audio, but Audacity does not. I am just new to Audacity, and just downloaded the most current version of it. I look forward to a resolution.
If you try to amplify that recorded track, what happens?
Does the Amplify effect say that the “New peak amplitude” will be “-Infinity”, or can you actually amplify the track?
Thanks dth0829, I got that from your first post.
As Laerioske said he has the same problem, I’m wanting to know if he is using the same turntable as you.
