I am trying to play back a recording on my recently downloaded audacity, but there is no sound. I have looked up all the troubleshooting tutorials I can find, but my version doesn’t seem to have to have the options they suggest.
In the current version the recording and playback volume sliders are “hidden” under the recording and playback meters.
Make sure you’ve selected the correct Playback Device, especially if you’ve got more than one audio device like a USB microphone or something.
If that doesn’t help, are you seeing a waveform? Are the meters showing activity? Any other clues?
What version is that?
