No sound once recording exported

I am new to Audacity and have followed a few YouTube videos and Pdf instructions but have experienced a couple of issues whilst copying my vinyl to digital. I will request help on the main issue. FAQ’s have not answered my questions. I have an Audio-Technica AT-LP120XBT-USB turntable linked to my laptop running Windows 11.

I have recorded into Audacity and can hear it through my headphones. I exported the recording in WAV and MP3 formats. When I come to listen to the recording in Media Player, I have no sound? The audio host is set to MME, I appear to have lost the recording device, the playback device is Speakers (Realtek (R) Audio). Any advice would be appreciated.

Are you sure your media player application isn’t muted in Windows?

Thanks for your note. I have played other music through Media Player and all is fine. I do believe that the issue may be the setup in Windows 11 through, settings, system, sound. Not sure how the settings should be to recognise my turntable?
