No Recording Levels

Hi Everyone,
I need some help on Audacity 3.6.4 I just got my Behringer U-PHONO UFO202 audio converter yesterday. This device is to converting Analog signal to Digital audio signal into MP3 file format.

I hookup the Behringer U-PHONO UFO202 Type A USB to my laptop and to my Marantz PM 6006 Integrated Amplifier (audio equipment).

The Type A USB cable to my laptop. 2 input source signal cables RCA male Red and White cables connected to the rear panel amplifier Recorder [Audio Out].

After connected, I played some music from my Pioneer DJ XDJ-XZ DJ Controller. I didn’t see any input source in my Audacity 3.6.4 desktop panel.

After trying all these, I couldn’t get any signal on my Audacity.

I search high and low in the internet for clue and answer to no available. Tried many other ways still unable to see any recording signal in the Audacity Microphone Input?

I was wondering, is it because my Pioneer DJ XDJ-XZ output source is MP3 format ?

I couldn’t figure out what went wrong with it.

There is no Recording Levels

I did not see the Pre Recording Levels

I didn’t see any Pre Recording Levels

My Audacity not showing any sound levels?

Audacity not picking up and signal after plugging in an input source.

But, when I played the music with the signal went directly into my Marantz PM 6006 Integrated Amplifier. It does send signal to the amplifier and produced sound send to my speakers.

I would appreciate if anyone here in the forum can help me on this.

Thanks in advance.

Did you select the Behringer as your USB Recording Device? It probably won’t say “Behringer” or “UFO202” but it should say “USB… something”. (If your DJ controller is plugged into your computer there may be more than one USB audio device showing.)

There is a recording-volume slider “hiding” under the Audacity recording meters. It usually doesn’t do anything with USB inputs but it’s something you can check.

You can also try Listen To This Device to make sure Windows is getting a signal.

You can probably record from the DJ controller’s USB port (whichever USB port is correct for that) without the Behringer. You may need to install the driver. Or, it should have come with Rekordbox which is supposed to be able to record. Of course, after you have a digital file on your computer you can edit with Audacity if you wish.

It’s not, but Audacity can Export as MM3 or WAV, etc.

Hi DVDdoug, I will try what you have mentioned. Select the Behringer as my USB Recording Device see if it does work. I will check what you mentioned. the recoding-volume slider. Thanks for your input. Appreciated.
