No output sound from speakers since Audacity 3.7.9 was installed. Enable audible input Monitoring is checked, no output speaker sound. Both record and Playback meters show sound. Sound is visable on bar in computer settings

Check this…

Press ⊞+R. Type SndVol and press Enter.

Device, Applications, and Audacity showed up after entering SndVol. Opened Audacity, hit Enable Silent Monitoring, played music,it worked. Shutdown Audacity, reopened Audacity, hit Enable Silent Monitoring, played music, doesn’t work, no matter how many times I try it. Even went back to doing the SndVol thing again and again. Folks at Dell could not t figure this out.
